The Indian River Land Trust works with private landowners, state and county government, and other non-profit conservation organizations to conserve land, water and wildlife. Private, voluntary land preservation projects are customized for every property and landowner's vision.

Appeals for the protection of the Indian River County natural lands are coming from all sectors, and IRLT is deeply involved in identifying, prioritizing, and strategizing methods for the protection of individual parcels and wider landscapes across the region. IRLT has a working relationship with such conservation partners as the Indian River County Environmental Lands Program, The Alliance of Florida Land Trusts, The Nature Conservancy, The Conservation Fund, The Environmental Learning Center, The Pelican Island Audubon Society, The Trust for Public Lands and The Marine Resources Council.

In addition, IRLT staff and board members represent our organization as official voting members of the Indian River County Conservation Lands Advisory Committee (CLAC) and the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee (LAAC).
